On the occasion of accomplishment of 5 years of glorious services of the ALMA-NGO a grand programme of ALMA NATIONAL AWARD-2006 CEREMONY was held on Saturday, the 22nd July, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Hotel Sayaji, Vijay Nagar, Indore. The Chief Guest was His Excellency Justice Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. Special Guest was Dr. Prabhakar Mishra, the Ex-Vice Chancellor of Benaras University and National President of the ALMA-NGO. The programme was presided over by Rashtrasant Shri Udaysinghji Deshmukh (Bhaiyu Maharaj). As special guests Smt. Asha Vijaywargiya being the representative of Public Works, Information Technology & Energy Minister of Madhya Pradesh, ALMA's Chairman Shri Vishnu Prasad Shukla (Bade Bhaiya), President of Women Congress Smt. Shobha Ojha, Senior Leader of M.P. Congress Committee Shri Ramnarayan Tiwari, ALMA's Vice Chairman Professor (Dr.) Rajeev Sharma, Ex-MLA Thakur Mahendra Singh, Shri Tarunbhai Rawal of Surat (Gujarat), Shri P.K. Shukla the President of Bar Council of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Smt. Shanta Tripathi and Smt. Mala Tiwari both social workers, Shri Ashwin Joshi Member of Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh and Mahamandleshwar Swamiji from Bangalore.
Various branch managers, development executives and their representatives have attended this function. AT this occasion the ALMA's Director Advocate Santosh Shukla expressed his sincere gratitudes. He has also welcomed all the branch managers, development executives and their representatives came from various parts of the country including Haryana, Punjab, Uttranchal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Sikkim, Tripura, Kerala, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

Advocate Santosh Shukla told that today's programme is organized to honour the associates of the Alma Organisation who is spreading over the computer literacy and best and quality computer education in minimum affordable fee throughout the country in urbal and rural areas and encouragers of the Information Technology. It is being celebrated on accomplishment of 5 years of glorious services of the ALMA-NGO. He further told that in addition to the services rendered in the computer field the ALMA is also honouring to the personalities who have rendered their devoted services in other field such as medical, science, social work etc.
First of all His Excellency the Governor has honoured Dr. Satish Shukla by presenting him a shield and certificate of honour. Thereafter Pt. Ramnarayan Tiwari couple, Bhupenbhai Shukla of Ahmedabad, Social workers of Wardha Vinayak Telrandhe and Smt. Vandana Chafle, Mohit Mathur of Ajmer, Anand Bhawsar of Mumbai (Maharashtra), Rajiv Dubey of Jodhpur (Rajasthan), N.P. Singh of Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), D. Ranjit Singh of Silchar (Assam), Ajay Agrawal of Singapore, Vivek Verma of Mount Abu (Rajasthan), G.G. Ganguli the President of Astha Vriddashram, Advocate Rameshwar Trivedi the director of Shraddanand Bal Ashram, Baby Wagisha Sharma and Baby Singer Akansha Jachak were honoured by His Excellency the Governor by awarding them certificates and honour and shields.
Other talented personalities honoured by the hands of the Governor were Sumeet Mehta the Development Executive of Gujarat, Ravi Kant Sharma the development executive of Himachal Pradesh and Uttranchal, Raju Bhasnaiya the development executive of Madhya Pradesh, Darpan Rania branch manager of Valsad (Gujarat), Smt. Asha V. Shah of Halol, Kamlesh Patel of Amraiwadi (Ahmedabad), Himanshu Joshi of Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh), Sharad Nema of Ranjhi (Jabalpur), Dharmesh Jaisawal of Nagda, Jafar Ahmad Bhat and Feroz Ahmad of Hawal Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir), Bashir Ahmad Buhru of Azadganj (Baramulla), Major Roshanlal Narotra of Nadaun (Hamirpur) (Himachal Pradesh), Param Jeet of Nalagarh (Solan) and Jaspalsingh Thakur of Mandi.

On national level the first award of first best Alma Computer Education Centre was handed over to Vikram Vijaywargiya the branch manager of Manasa (Madhya Pradesh), second award to Manish Sanatkumar of Vadodara (Gujarat) and third award to N.P. Singh of Shimla (Himachal Pradesh). E.E. the Governor presented them certificates of honour and shields.
